Math Puzzles

Math is often the trickiest subject for students. Additionally, December is often the hardest month to keep the attention of young learners as they eagerly await Santa. Thus, teaching math in December can be painful! It can be beyond challenging to keep students focused and engaged when they just want to count down the days until break. However, teachers know how valuable every minute of class is. This means they cannot take a whole month off of math instruction during December. Luckily, math puzzles are here to ensure December includes so much fun learning. Students will look forward to math with the December Math Puzzles and Math Puzzles Bundle! 

December Math Puzzles 

Teachers will combine math and writing with these fun, no-prep puzzles! Specifically, there are 4 seasonal, self-checking math puzzles with 6 differentiated versions. To practice core math skills, students will work on addition, subtraction, and mixed equations to 10 and 20. Additionally, students will practice doubles and mixed double digits without regrouping.

Solving the Puzzles 

Teachers have so much to do each day. Additionally, many students need help at the same time. Luckily, the puzzles are all self-checking! This means teachers can get a few things done around the classroom or work in small groups while students check their work. They will create a picture by cutting apart the nine square pieces and gluing them onto the matching answers. Ultimately, they will be able to find their incorrect answers because the numbers will not match! If this happens, students will know they need to go back and check their work.
