Roll and Draw Activities

When students have fun in the classroom, they naturally learn on a deeper level. However, planning so many exciting activities to meet the many standards can be stressful. Thankfully, teachers often work together on sharing activities. This helps ensure students have math and literacy games, science labs, and team-building activities. Roll, Draw, and Write Bundle 

Kindergarten and first-grade students will love math and literacy games with this bundle! There are tons of exciting activities to use throughout the entire year! 

Specifically, this bundle includes a different theme for each month of the school year. Each theme has 11 different board games, each practicing a different math skill. Additionally, there are 11 different generic writing templates to use with any of the board games. This is an incredible way to combine math and literacy! On top of this, there are editable versions of the game board to ensure they meet the needs of your classroom.

Math Skills 

There is so much to learn in math! Honestly, this can become overwhelming for students. Thankfully, the roll and draw activities bring so much excitement to learning! Students won’t even realize they are working hard with these exciting activities. 

Specifically, skills include numeral recognition, adding on one, two, and three, and doubling and tripling numbers. Additionally, students will work on double plus one and two and minus one and two. 

Writing Skills 

Students will use writing skills throughout their entire lives! So, they must have a solid foundation. Thankfully, the roll and draw activities include tons of skills! 

Specifically, this includes simple sentence building, sequencing, self-editing, punctuation, and comic dialogue. This includes compare/contrast, adjectives, verbs, setting, character, plot, and conflict/resolution. There are even literacy games for story and descriptive writing! 

Math and Literacy Games and Activities 

School should be fun! So, the roll and draw activities merge learning with excitement! Students will have a starter frame while building a sentence, work on fun sequencing, and explore the setting, character, and problem through story writing. Students will use fun themes, like monsters, to create simple, imaginative descriptions, compare/contrast, and comic writing. There are even cut-and-glue sentence-building activities that include self and peer editing. 

Drawing Themes 

Students love to draw! Thankfully, there are different themes for each month. This includes a bat in October, a snowman in January, and an alien in May. 

Implementation 

There are so many ways to implement the roll and draw activities. This is perfect since the bundle lasts the entire year! Teachers can use them for literacy centers, math centers, partner work, homework, morning work, or sub plans! Students will love working on them, no matter the format.
