Do you wear green on St. Patrick’s Day?

One year I forgot to, and my students were quite horrified! After that, I always kept a green t-shirt in the closet to pull out just in case things got crazy and I forgot again!

If you’re looking for some ways to celebrate, here are some of the activities we like to do each year that also keep things academic but fun!

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PUZZLES

These math puzzles are a huge hit, and they also practice math as well! Students solve math problems to help put the puzzle together before they color. This no-prep activity includes writing and coloring templates as well. Another plus is that it also includes several differentiated versions included so all students can feel successful.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY SENTENCES

Practice sentence building with seasonal sentences! First, students cut out the words and arrange them to create a sentence. Then they print, self-edit and illustrate their sentence!
